Babushka Lady is the nickname for the unknown woman (scarf, trench coat on the right side of the frame) who might have captured events in Dealey Plaza at the time JFK was assassinated.
It is obvious she is holding a camera, 8mm or standard film. No evidence has ever been found. We do not know if she was "panning," with her movie camera prior to & leading up to the fatal head wound, or if she was filming only as the motorcade was within "sight." Glare from the back of the limo, parade onlookers, police motorcycles, her own ability or possible inability to properly film or photograph may have produced nothing but a blur. Had the images been developed they would've surfaced.

Babushka's nickname derived from the headscarf worn by elderly Russian women.
Babushka Lady was seen to be holding a camera by eyewitnesses and was also seen clearly from behind in the Mary Muchmore film, the frames of which are featured here. After the shootings, she crossed Elm Street and joined the crowd that went up the grassy knoll.
Neither she nor the film/photos she may have taken have been positively identified. The Babushka Lady has never came forward.
In 1970 Beverly Oliver claimed to be the Babushka Lady.
I interviewed Beverly years ago. A nicer woman you will not find, but her story is filled with inaccuracies. I recently sent her a message via facebook in which I said I wish there was evidence to support you were there to finally put an end to the mystery but there is none.To this day she has never been identified nor has another woman claimed to be such.
