USA BOMBS IRAN - Operation Midnight Hammer

Operation Midnight Hammer was a major U.S. military strike carried out against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure on June 21, 2025. The operation involved seven B-2 Spirit bombers, each flying 18-hour missions with multiple in-air refuelings, targeting three key Iranian nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

The mission was described as the largest B-2 operational strike in U.S. history, involving over 125 aircraft, including fighter escorts, refueling planes, and surveillance assets. It also marked the first operational use of the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator, a 30,000-pound bunker-busting bomb.
To maintain the element of surprise, the U.S. used deception tactics, such as decoy aircraft flying west over the Pacific while the actual strike force moved east toward Iran. The strikes began at 6:40 p.m. ET and concluded within 25 minutes, with Tomahawk cruise missiles launched from a submarine to complement the aerial assault.

The Pentagon emphasized that the operation was targeted solely at nuclear facilities, not civilians or military personnel, and was intended to neutralize Iran’s nuclear capabilities amid escalating tensions in the region.
